Suzhou Pan Gate Scenic Spot is located
at the southwest corner of the Suzhou
ancient city, covering an area of 24.68 hectares. It has numerous historical
sites and abundant landscapes of humanity, boasting the long-established Ruiguang
Pagoda, the one and only Water-land City Gate(a gate that could be available for
both carriages and ships to go through in the ancient time) and the Wumen Bridge
renowned at home and abroad, which, respectively, are under the lists of the Provincial
Protection Unit and National Protection Unit. The central courtyard, embodied
with the layout of One Pond Being Encompassed by Three Rockeries (a traditional
pattern of classical gardens), feels rather smooth and spacious with all the exquisite
ancient buildings, elegant waters and shadows and pavilions. It is gifted with
a touch of unsophisticated manner endowed by the long history of Suzhou, and at the same
time, an unstrained character of modern society, in which visitors can be continually
immersed in the profoundness of the culture of Wu.

Price for Foreign Guests: 40 RMB
per person (extra 6 RMB per person is needed for climbing the Ruiguang Pagoda,
which is only available for mostly five floors in daytime). During July 20th,
2019 - August 31st, 2019, the Pan Gate Scenic Spot will have night gardens---Gusu
light shows, for which the price is 30 RMB per person (tickets are available
after 17:30 pm.)
